Front Line Assembly - AirMech review: Front Line Assembly integrates dubstep tendencies into their caustic electro-industrial sound for their debut soundtrack, and the results show that the group is well suited to score a game like AirMech. Review Summary: Front Line Assembly integrates dubstep tendencies into their caustic electro-industrial sound for their debut soundtrack, and the results show that the group is well suited to score a game like AirMech. The cover of the soundtrack to the real-time strategy game AirMech might be a little misleading to Front Line Assembly fans who are unfamiliar with the game itself. Front Line Assembly is one of the pioneering bands in the electronic industrial world and continues to be guided by founder Bill Leeb. The AirMech album has been under development since late 2011 in parallel with the progression of the game. Selections of the music will be deconstructed for use as dynamic music, which reacts to conditions during battle. The trademark structure of FLA's music made this collaboration an exciting opportunity for both teams. This album is entirely instrumental, and stands as a compelling FLA album on its own. The picture disc sounds as good as any great sounding standard black vinyl. Best sounding picture disc I ever heard.
